(Czech edition) The book - whose integral part is a DVD - summarizes the work and life of Karel Dodal and his two partners: Hermína Týrlová and Irena Rosnerová. The publication represents so far unknown chapter of the interwar development of the Czech cinematography and deals with the time period from the mid-1930s, when the first professional studio of animated film - IRE-film - was created, to the postwar creative journeys of the Dodals in exile. In the end the book deals with the Dodals influence on the international fame of postwar Czechoslovak animated film.
